Stripes are from Slaker at SlakerInc.com
First we ran a piece of pink twine from the nose to tail using the side of
the emblems as a guide to keep it straight. Then I taped it down at the
windshield and back window and ran 1/2" masking tape using the string as a
guide.
Another shot showing the masking tape and string guide for the first stripe.
The 6" stripe went down first on a very WET car. Also we sprayed the
adhesive sideof the vinyl with water. Once it was in place where we wanted
it we used this big roundeed edge squeegie t get the water and bubbles out
from under it.
This six inch stripe went all the way to the back of the car. I stopped
it at the trunk lid edge. After this ste I took a sharp exacto knife
and cut along the middle of the weatherstripping areas and tucked the excess
tape around the edges of the trunk, weatherstriping, hood etc.
Next we ran a 2" masking tape along the edge of the 6" vinyl to get a space
between the two stripes.
Once that masking tape was down it was time to repeat the process with the
2" vinyl stripe! Notice here is a small wrinkle that will be hidden under the
front plate. I would have worried about it more but since I have to have
a plate I did not bother with trying to get it out.

ta da!
